Terms & Conditions

Updated 14 August 2026

1. Agreement

By downloading, installing or using Casement (the "app") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install the app.

2. Licence

You get a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to install and run Casement on Macs you own or control, for personal or internal business use.

You may not resell the app, remove its branding and redistribute it as your own, or use it to build a directly competing product from its packaged binaries.

Casement embeds Chromium and Electron, which remain under their own open-source licences. Those licences govern their components.

3. Acceptable use

You are responsible for what you browse, download, fill in and store. Do not use Casement to break the law, bypass site access controls you have no right to bypass, or scrape services in violation of their terms.

The AI form fill and Firecrawl features are tools you point at pages. You remain responsible for what is submitted on your behalf — review before you send anything that matters.

4. Accounts and sync

An account is optional and only needed for cross-device sync. Keep your credentials and your vault passphrase safe; we cannot reset a passphrase or recover end-to-end encrypted items.

We may suspend an account that is used to abuse the service or other users.

5. Updates

Casement checks for updates and verifies each download against a published SHA-256 digest before installing. Updates install only when you confirm.

Features may change, be replaced or be removed between versions.

6. Third-party content

Websites, extensions and services you reach through Casement are operated by others. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, terms or availability.

7. Warranty and liability

Casement is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost passwords or lost profits arising out of your use of the app.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows the current version, and continued use after a change means acceptance.
